YEN-ONAM Celebrated in YIT…

The wish that Maaveli was granted by Lord Vishnu was to be able to see his people once every year and Yenepoya Institute of Technology (by YITians) ensured that the sight he saw this year was a grand one indeed!

YIT celebrated Onam on the college premises amidst much fanfare involving staff and students of the institute. The celebrations started with setting up of an attractive floral decoration (pookalam) in the reception area that was reminiscent of the agrarian past of Kerala, a South Indian state. Impressive designs and artistic creativity were the hallmarks of the Pookalam, which turned out to be attractive and mesmerizing and took everyone into a world of festivity and fun.

Other main special attraction Thiruvaathira Dance (folk dance around pookalam),  Mahabali of Yenepoya (YITian), jovial games and delicious ONAM special food included with varieties of vegetables, rice, banana and payasam.

YEN-ONAM’17 left memories which will be cherished forever.
